BAMIN Strategic Plan 2006 Goal: To provide training & assistance, which promote male involvement in a culturally diverse society. Objectives 1) Make presentations at 6 ECE classes in Bay Area per semester. 2) Partner with MCF to sponsor regional conference in Spring of 2007. 3) Provide training and support to 4 Fatherhood classes each year. Goal: To affect social policy and legislative issues regarding men in the lives of children. Objectives 1) Contact 2 media sources per month to create an awareness for the need to increase salaries for early childhood education employees. 2) Have one (or more) representatives in the state wide profession organizations (i.e. CAEYC, CCDAA, PACE, etc.) to create a network of legislative contacts for advocacy for the field. Goal: To increase awareness of the benefits of male involvement. Objectives: 1) Develop a roster of available workshop speakers/panelist by July 06.2) Update letterhead and business cards for BAMIN and members (DATE) 3) Identify person to create interactive website—ongoing4) Identify person to look at possibility of call in radio program—on going 5) Compile conference list -- Sept. 06 Goal: To have sufficient funding to achieve BAMIN’s mission Objectives: 1) Assess current Fiscal status & Resources available (9/06)2) Select a budget committee to submit a proposed budget for Fiscal Year 06/07 & 07/05 (12/06) 3) Identify possible funding proposals that encompass member counties (12/06) 4) Assess need for the services of a professional fundraiser (9/06). Goal: To establish membership criteria, recruit addition members and support members through professional development. Objsectives: 1) Each BAMIN member will create an action plan for male involvement within their agency during the next 3 months. 2) Each member will outreach to 2 agencies per year for possible membership. 3) The director and 2 members will review membership criteria and present to the BAMIN board by 9/06 Goal: To have an established framework for organizational structure, development and evaluation. Objectives: 1) Meet semiannually to report out and evaluate progress on strategic plan.2) Prepare annual written evaluation. 3) Hold biannual strategic planning retreat.
